1. What is e-Invoice?
An e-Invoice is a digital representation of a transaction between a supplier and a buyer that transmits to The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM).

2. Who
can request for e-Invoice?
From 1 August 2024 onwards, customers that require an e-Invoice can request for it through the below methods depending on mode of purchase, within the same month:

Customer A purchased drinks through Tealive app
on 31 August 2024, and request for e-Invoice on 1 September 2024. Will Customer
A be able to obtain the e-Invoice?
No.
Customer A will not be able to obtain e-Invoice as it is not requested within
the same month.
(b)
Customer B purchased drinks through aggregators’
platform (i.e. Grab, foodpanda, Shopee food) or merchandises through
aggregators’ platform (i.e. Lazada, Tiktok), and request for e-Invoice through
Tealive portal. Will Customer B be able to obtain the e-Invoice?
No.
Customer B will not be able to obtain e-Invoice through Tealive app. However,
Customer B can request and download e-Invoice from aggregators’ platform, in
accordance with respective aggregators' policies.

4. What if I do not want to release this information to Tealive?
The above stated information are mandatory fields for generation of IRBM compliant e-Invoice. Tealive will not be able to issue e-Invoice if the above information is not provided.
5. What is Tax Identification Number (“TIN”)?
TIN is the income tax number currently recorded by the IRBM. For example, the file numbers of individual residents and non-residents are SG and OG, and the company’s file number is C.

6. Can I request for e-Invoice when I redeem my drinks with voucher/ loyalty points?
Yes. Customer can request for e-Invoice. E-Invoice will be issued based on net payable amount.
Example:
(a) Customer C purchased RM15 worth of drinks from outlet. Customer C presents RM10 voucher for redemption and paid the remaining balance of RM5 with cash/ e-wallet.
Tealive
will issue e-Invoice to customer upon request based on amount of sales not
settled by the vouchers (i.e. RM5).
(b) Customer D purchased RM10 worth of drinks from outlet. Customer D presents RM10 voucher for redemption.
In
this scenario, Tealive will issue e-Invoice to customer upon request, at RMnil.
(c) Customer E purchased RM8 worth of drinks from outlet. Customer E presents RM10 voucher for redemption.
In this scenario, Tealive will issue e-Invoice to customer upon request, at RMnil.
7. I bought 2 drinks in the same receipt. Can I request for 2 separate e-Invoices?No. Tealive can only issue 1 e-Invoice for each receipt number.
8. How will I receive the validated e-Invoice?
Validated e-Invoice will be sent to your email address once it’s available.
9. I entered wrong information and submitted the request for e-Invoice. Can I still amend it?
If it is still within the same month (of the original receipt date), you may contact our customer service for assistance.
10. Why is e-Invoicing not available at some of the Tealive outlets when it's mandated elsewhere?
Some of the Tealive outlets are franchise, which operate independently regarding certain administrative procedures. E-Invoice implementation timeline varies according to the revenue threshold at the franchise level.
11. What should I do if I have questions or issues with my e-Invoice?

12. I am a local franchisee having regular purchases with LRTS Retail Sdn Bhd, will I obtain an e-Invoice? Do I need to request for e-Invoice through Tealive portal?
You will receive e-Invoice by default. LRTS Retail Sdn Bhd is obligated to issue e-Invoice to franchisees in accordance with IRBM’s guidelines. Please do not request for e-Invoice through Tealive portal.

13. I am a corporate customer that purchases vouchers from Tealive, will I obtain an e-Invoice? Do I need to request for e-Invoice through Tealive portal?
You will receive e-Invoice by default. Loob Holding Sdn Bhd is obligated to issue e-Invoice to corporate customers on sales of vouchers in accordance with IRBM’s guidelines. Please do not request for e-Invoice through Tealive portal.
